1940s Syroco Police Dog Corkscrew
Wonderful condition Syroco Police Dog Corkscrew. These were offered in a painted version and a walnut stained version.
This is a Highly collectable mid-century barware item.
Made by the Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco) of Syracuse, New York, they are made up of a composition of wood powder and thermoset resin set up in a compression mold, these were believed to have been made between 1940-1950.
The steel corkscrew and bell were supplied by Williamson Company of Newark, New Jersey. it has a bladed worm (corkscrew) designed to cut through the cork with ease.
Circa, 1940-50s
Marked, none.
Condition, very nice with minor wear, light paint lose.
