Red Wing Pottery Five Gallon Crock.
Wonderful Red Wing Crock this Five-gallon crock. Made by the Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. of Red Wing Minnesota. This lovely crock is known as a #5 small wing with a #8 Oval. The cobalt blue oval below the red wing was issued in 1930 and only used in the 1930s. The #5 was made with and without handles this one has its original wire bail handles.
First rule about old crocks with wire bail handles (NEVER) pick up the crock by the handles, always support the crock by the base.

Measurements, 13¼” tall, 12½” diameter at top rim, 20.7-pounds.
Condition, very nice for age, has one hairline crack next to right handle (shown in pictures). Normal manufacturing blemishes, wood handles are weathered and worn.
