Set of Four 1930s Ball Special Wide Mouth Pint Fruit Jars
This is a wonderful set of four pint-sized Ball Special clear wide mouth canning jars made in the 1930s
Ball started making the Wide Mouth Special Jars in 1909 and carried the name Ball Special till in the 1940s Ball added the word Widemouth to the label Ball Special Widemouth.
Jars are labeled Ball Special on the front and Made in U.S.A. on back and Ball on the glass lid.
These jars have a few notable features,
Pint Sized Wide Mouth
Ribbed Back Panel on Jars
Zinc Band with Glass Insert Lids
Size, Pint
Measures, 4” tall, 4” wide.
Circa, 1930s
Condition, jars are nice clear and clean, one jar has a tiny flea bite chip on rim.
