Vintage 1946 Shakespeare Service 1944 model, GE. Bait-Casting Fishing Reel
Wonderful find this old fishing reel a 1946 Shakespeare Service 1944 model, GE. A silver bait-casting reel manufactured by The Shakespeare Co. of Kalamazoo, Michigan before the company moved to South Carolina in 1970. Very nice condition a couple scuffs and scratches.
The reel is, as found minus some dirt and dust, we have not serviced or dismantled the reel, still needs a good cleaning. It does seem to work fine, and the drag works also.
