Antique Lightning Rod with Blue Glass Globe
Wonderful 19th Century Copper & Glass Lightning Rod with Wind Arrow. The rod stands 57 ¾-inches tall and is made of a copper tube and the top finial is formed from the tube, the rod is held in a steel roof bracket which is 33” tall with legs that screw down to the roof. The blue glass globe has a diameter of 4 ½-inches.
Overall condition is very good, as expected the rod has dents and dings, the globe is in very nice condition the top and bottom are covered up by caps. All the copper is weathered and tarnished and has a wonderful patina.
Circa, 1890s-1920s
Measures, 57 ¾” tall.
