Antique Lightning Putnam Fruit Jar
Wonderful find this Lightning Fruit Jar made in the 1890s by Henry William Putnam, patented in1882, Patent# 256,857. This jar is in a clear with a light aqua blue color lid and has the name in raised lettering on the front
(Trade Mark Lightning Registered U.S. Patent Office)
the bottom of the jar reads (Putnam 37) the number 37 is the mold location number.
The jar has bubbles and waves in the glass common for this timeline.
Circa, 1890s
Marked, Lightning
Measures, 8” tall, 3 ¾” diameter at base.
Condition, very nice condition some surface scratches and the metal bail has rust.
