We have for sale a Miner’s Brass Lantern, Mining Artifact.
This is a wonderful Butterfly carbide mining headlamp sold by the Safesport Mfg. Co. Denver Colo. The Lantern is in good clean condition with all the interior parts intact.
Heyday of this type of light was from the turn of the century to the 1930s.
These were used in the coal mines for years; they are designed to hang on the front of a miner’s hat.
Marked, Made in Hong Kong for Safesport Mfg. Co. Denver Colo.
Measures, 5 ½” tall, reflector is 4¼” diameter.
Condition, fair condition. has a couple dings on top as shown, missing rubber gasket for fuel tank.
