Collection of Four Antique August Buermann Western Spurs.
What a find, a collection of four different style spurs made by August Buermann. The spur with the heel chair is from the 1890s the other three are from the Civil War Era.

If you’re not sure who August Buermann was, he was one of the leading spur and tack manufacturers in America in the 1800s. During the Civil War every Calvary officer wanted to be wearing his spurs.

History,
August Buermann immigrated to the US from Germany in 1864 and enlisted with the US Army. He fought in the Civil War, in 1866 Buermann purchased a company and started making his own spurs. He supplied spurs for the Civil war and grew his business until in 1926, North and Judd Tack Company bought the Buermann company.
