1930s Dressel Railroad Lantern S.P.CO.
Wonderful old Railroad Lantern made by the Dressel Company of Arlington New Jersey. Dressel manufactured this lantern for the Southern Pacific Railway Company.
Labeled on the top S.P.CO. (Southern Pacific Corp.) base is labeled PAT. No. 2157081.

History,
The Southern Pacific railroad was a network of companies that existed from 1865 to 1996 and operated largely in the Western United States. The system was operated by various companies under the names Southern Pacific Railroad, Southern Pacific Company and Southern Pacific Transportation Company. The Southern Pacific Transportation Company was purchased in 1996 by the Union Pacific Railroad.

Circa, 1930s
Measures, 6” diameter at base, 9 ¼” tall with handle down.
Condition, fair was painted black at some point, globe has rim chips.
