1947 Singer 221 Featherweight Sewing Machine, Cleaned and Serviced, Scrolled Faceplate

We have for sale a vintage Singer 221-1 portable featherweight sewing machine and carrying case. Serial # AH196550. The machine badge was issued on Aug 19, 1947, and was manufactured in Elizabethsport, NJ, USA. It has an original 110-volt motor and beautiful chrome trim. The machine, case, and attachments are all in good vintage condition. We’ve had several machines in the last few years and this one purrs. The case is in good vintage condition showing wear, consistent with age and use.
This machine was well loved, it needed very little cleaning. 1947 was the last year that the scrolled front faceplate machines were made, 1948 Singer started using their striated faceplates.
This is a very nice machine finished in that classic deep gorgeous shiny black featherweight paint, gold decals and chrome trim. Please see all photos as they are part of the item’s description.

Overall Condition of the MACHINE, runs and operates smoothly, has light wear from use on sewing bed, scuffs, and scratches, paint chips. Little wear on decal on front edge (as shown in pictures).
CASE, is in very nice condition, clasps and locks work smoothly, very structurally solid,
