Sorry, this item has sold.

Thank you for viewing our Store,

We have for sale an Antique Griswold Cast Iron American #8 Waffle Iron with Low Base.
This 1920s cast iron stove top Waffle Iron is in wonderful condition. The Waffle Iron was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Company of Erie PA, USA. The logo on this waffle iron is called a Slant Lettering Logo. Both sides of the Iron and the base are marked with the Griswold Name.
The base is considered a low base which was designed to be used on an antique wood or coal cooking stove with an open cooking hole (meaning circular cooking plate removed). With the base over the open cooking hole the waffle iron can rotate 360 deg. without lifting the iron.
Griswold came out with this logo in 1900 and used thru 1910.
