We have for sale a Large Set of Brass Sleigh Bells
Wonderful find this amazing set of 15 brass horse bells, this is known as a breast collar that hangs just below the horse’s neck, it is made of tooled leather with a sheep skin lining, the bells are knows as Petal Bells because the design on the bell looks like flower petals. There are 15 brass bells all numbered by size 1 thru 8, the largest being #8 which measures 1 7/8” in diameter and the smallest marked #1 measuring a 1” in diameter.
The total length of the collar is 35” long with a metal hoop at each end.
Circa, 1960s
Condition, good leather is dry and sheep skin is worn and missing in spots (as shown).
