Art Deco Design Ashtray with Nude Flying Goddess
Wonderful find this Bakelite Ashtray made by the Harry Davies / Daka-Ware Company of Chicago. The Ashtray is known as the Flying Goddess, the base is made of Bakelite and the goddess is chrome plated metal alloy. The ashtray is designed with 14 notches along the outer edge for resting cigarettes and cigars, at the front is a slot this is for holding a book of matches. The Goddess is a chrome plated metal alloy with arms back and flowing hair, designed after the hood ornaments from classic cars of the 1940 and 1950s.
The base if the ashtray reads, The Tops in Ash Trays by Daka-Ware
Chicago Made in U.S.A. Pat Pend.

Measures, Base 5” diameter, Goddess is 5” tall
Condition, Chrome is excellent no pitting, ashtray is good no chips or cracks, Bakelite needs a good polishing.
