We have for sale an Antique August Buermann Spurs
What a find, a pair of August Buermann western spurs in amazing unused condition.
These spurs are as found minus some dust, and we had to oil the leather straps so not to break them. We are pretty sure these were never or only slightly worn, the 10-point rowels still have the bluing on them. Each spur is marked on heelband next to the inner strap button with the Buermann Star Logo with (AB) inside the star, above the logo is Pat’d.
The spurs have the signature 1¾” drop shank Buermann was known for with the chap guard on the top side and the 1¾” 10-point rowel The heelband has a spread of 3” these also have double heel chains attached behind the strap buttons.
The overall condition is very good with only a slight amount of thin surface rust. The leather straps are a little worn around the buckle, but the leather is pliable.

History,
August Buermann immigrated to the US from Germany in 1864 and enlisted with the US Army. He fought in the Civil War, in 1866 Buermann purchased a company and started making his own spurs. In 1926, North and Judd Tack Company bought the Buermann company.

Marked, Star Logo with AB inside star
Measures, 1½” Rowel, Shank 2” long, 3” spread.
Condition, Spurs have minimal scuffs and scratches from use. Straps have thick leather and very nice.
