We have for sale an Antique Union Stoneware Company Four Gallon Birch Leaf Crock.
Wonderful piece of Union Stoneware of Red Wing Minnesota. This lovely crock is known as a #4 Birch Leaf design, which dates to between 1896 and 1906. This crock does have the normal manufacturing blemishes, we have added a picture showing the blemishes, these were caused by air bubbles in the clay. The whitish color inside the crock is calcium / hard water deposit from canning.
Circa, 1897-1906
Marked, Union Stoneware Co, Red Wing MINN.
Measurements, 11 ½” tall, 12” diameter at top rim, weighs 16 pounds.
Condition, extremely nice condition NO chips or cracks, has normal manufacturing blemishes.
