We have for sale an Antique Carrier Pigeon Wooden Transport Box
Very interesting piece, it’s a wooden transport case for carrier pigeons or racing Pigeons, we have dated it around 1880-1910, WWI era.
The case is sturdily built from solid pine and fir wood, the arched top has a heavy-duty leather handle attached with brass rivets, brass hinges, and clasps. It has two compartments with doors at each end of the case, and a fold down bottom for cleaning. Each compartment has wooden perches. With a solid divided separating the two compartments. The case is very clean and solid, it does have a few dents and digs with some chipped corners, we have shown all the minor flaws in the pictures.
Measures, 25” long, 8 ½” tall without handle, 10 ½” wide.

Circa, 1880-1910
Condition, very sturdy construction with wear from age and use.
