We have for sale a vintage Singer 221-1 portable featherweight sewing machine and carrying case. Serial # AJ005817. The machine badge was issued on December 9, 1948, and was manufactured in Elizabethsport, NJ, USA. It has an original 110-volt motor and beautiful chrome trim. The machine, case, instruction book and attachments are all in good vintage condition. We’ve had several machines in the last few years and this one purrs. The case is in good vintage condition showing wear, consistent with age and use.
This is a very nice machine finished in that classic deep gorgeous shiny black featherweight paint, gold decals and chrome trim.

We have thoroughly cleaned and serviced this machine and replaced any worn or faulty parts. Parts replaced, rubber cushion feet on machine. Machine has a newer electrical cord not replaced by us.
Our shipping charge includes meticulous packing to ensure no damage occurs during transit. Every shipment we have done has arrived undamaged even as far away as Alaska.

Overall Condition of the MACHINE, runs and operates smoothly, has wear from use on sewing bed, scuffs, and scratches, paint chips (as shown in pictures). The instruction manual is a copy of an original manual.
CASE, clasps work smoothly, very structurally solid, fabric inside and outside case shows some wear as shown in pictures, leather handle has wear.
