We have for sale Vintage Pair of North and Judd Western Cowboy Spurs
Wonderful pair of western spurs made by North and Judd of New Britain, Connecticut. The spurs are marked with the very recognizable Anchor Trademark on top of the shank. They are a forged spurs with a nickel plating, they have a large 1 ¾” - 10-point rowel, and the outer strap button is shaped like a heart, they have a 2 ½” shank and the heal band / yoke has about a 3” spread.
Overall condition is very good with only a couple spots of plating lose.
History,
The North & Judd Manufacturing Company dates to 1832. Starting with James North's blacksmith shop in New Britain, Connecticut. The business grew quickly, and they were a major supplier to the U.S. army during the Civil War and the Spanish-American war and even the first World War. North and Judd had a very recognizable Trademark which was of an Anchor it was usually located near the button, but sometimes on the shank of their spurs. In the 1970s the company purchased by Gulf and Western, and then again 1998 when it was acquired by Buckles International who continues to sell Anchor Brand Hardware.

Condition, good with light wear on the nickel finish, leather is sound.
