Antique Cast Iron Tobacco Cutter, German made Teck-1 Tobacco Leaf Shredder, Tobacco Collectible
Wonderful turn of the century 1900, Wurttemberg Teck 1 hand crank tobacco cutting machine. This German made cutter is for cutting / shredding dry tobacco leaves. It is made of cast iron with a hardwood maple crank handle and feed wheel, the cutter wheel has three very sharp cutting blades that are removable for sharpening, it is very well built and will easily last another 100 years.
To operate you lift the wooden top plank, place the tobacco leaves in the cream-colored bed, at the cutting end you find a steel roller which lifts upon below is a wooden fluted roller, you place the tobacco leaves between the two roller and crank the cutting wheel, the bottom wooden roller rotates and pulls the tobacco leaves into the cutter wheel, cutting the tobacco into fine shreds for smoking.

Condition, very nice condition with original paint, the cutting blades are sharp, although may need sharping. Tested and works.
