We have for sale a vintage Singer 221-1 portable featherweight sewing machine and carrying case. Serial # AL428870. The machine badge was issued on September 3, 1952, and was manufactured in Elizabethsport, NJ, USA. It has an original 110-volt motor and beautiful chrome trim. The machine, case, instruction book and attachments are all in very good vintage condition. We’ve had several machines in the last few years and this one purrs. The case is in very good vintage condition showing minor wear, consistent with age and use.
This is a very nice machine finished in that classic deep gorgeous shiny black featherweight paint, gold decals and chrome trim.

We have thoroughly cleaned and serviced this machine and replaced any worn or faulty parts. Parts we have replaced, power cord, motor drive belt and machine rubber base feet.
Our shipping charge includes meticulous packing to ensure no damage occurs during transit. Every shipment we have done has arrived undamaged even as far away as Alaska.

Overall Condition of the MACHINE, is very good runs and operates smoothly, only has light wear from use on sewing bed, light scuffs, and scratches, has two small dents in foldout arm from improper storage (as shown in pictures).
CASE, has No Key but opens and the clasps work smoothly, shows light wear from use and age but very structurally solid, fabric inside case shows some wear.
This is a wonderful machine runs smoothly the only flaw small dents, we have priced accordingly.
