We have for sale a Vintage 1940s Astatic Microphone Model DN-50
Wonderful mid-century microphone known as The Commentator, made by The ASTATIC Corporation, Conneaut Ohio. This is a model DN-50 Dynamic Plug-ln Communications Microphone, The Commentator was first made in the late 1930s. Microphone unscrews from base as shown in pictures.

It is a low impedance dynamic microphone ruggedly constructed and streamlined. It has a tilting head and swivel mount for semi or omni directional applications. Popularly named "The Commentator," it’s widely
used for public address, communications, and paging.
Rugged Mylar diaphragm, unaffected by temperature or
humidity extremes. Finished in gray hammerlin finish with polished chrome plated grille and handle.


Circa, 1940s
Measures, 12 ½” tall, 5 ½” diameter at base.
Condition, good used condition with scuffs and scratches in paint. Untested.
