We have for sale an Antique Cow Brand Saleratus Wood Shipping Crate
Absolutely wonderful antique shipping crate from the turn of the century 1900. The crate is beautifully marked with the Cow Brand Saleratus name and the Cow Logo, the graphics are very clear and vibrant. Crate is made of solid wood with dovetail corners joints, at some point in its life it has had a clear coat finish applied to protect the wood and graphics.
History,
Saleratus was the scientific name for Baking Soda, which was invented in 1846. Original called Saleratus until the early 1900s.
This crate will make an awesome kitchen or store display.
Circa, 1890-1900
Marked, Cow Brand Saleratus
Measures, 19 ¼” x 15 ¾” x 8 3/8” high.
Condition, Vintage as found with wear from age, dents and dings. Please see all pictures.
