We have for sale an Antique 1880s American Machine Co. Hand Crank Fluting machine.
Wonderful Piece of history, this is a Fluting Machine or also called a Ruffler used to put pleating or French fluting in freshly laundered clothing. This size Fluting Machine was designed for home use and made by the American Machine Co of Philadelphia.
Made of cast iron and brass fluting rollers with wood handle also has a built-in clamp to hold the machine to the tabletop. There is a lever in the front of the machine which allows you to raise and lower the bottom roller to insert or remove the garment from the machine.
This machine has a couple patent dates embossed under the rollers,
Nov 2, 1875 - July 3, 1877 - August 19, 1879 - March 23, 1880.

This will make a splendid addition to your collection or a fabulous gift.

Circa, 1880
Measures, base 7 ¾” width, 6” depth. machine 6” in height, weighs 6 pounds.
Condition, Very good for age, some paint lose and surface rust. No structural damage.
