Thank you for viewing our Store,

We have for sale a Late 1800s Schlitz Beer Bottle Opener Corkscrew, Schlitz Brewing Co. Milwaukee USA Corkscrew.
Made by the Walker USA, Patented July 25, 1893

This is from 1893 - 1900 when you still needed a corkscrew to open your beer bottle, on the bell this also has a hook to open the newly invented Baltimore Loop bottle seal (Invented in 1885)

Condition is very nice for over 115 years old. It has a nice straight bladed worm, wood handle is solid with nice clear graphics on both sides, has some plating lose on the worm and bell, will make a great addition to a collection or a perfect gift for the beer collector.
If you know someone that collects bottle openers or vintage barware this is a must have.

History:
The bottle cap wasn’t invented until the 1892 by the Crown Cork Co. Baltimore. Before the cap was introduced most all bottles had corks including beer bottles the corkscrew featured is an advertisement for beer made prior to 1892.
